FCC Austin’s 2025 Chinese New Year Celebration, Saturday, February 8, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Please join us as our FCC community celebrates the 2025 Chinese New Year, Year of the Snake, at the NW Hills United Methodist Church - Youth Center, located at 7013 Hart Lane, in Austin 78731. This year’s event will include a special catered buffet from First Chinese BBQ, a performance by Heavenly Dragon Lion Dance Association, FCC annual board elections, a silent auction, Instax camera scrapbook station, and other fun activities! FCC 2025 Spring Retreat, Saturday, April 12th, 10:30 am at John Knox Ranch: 1661 John Knox Road, Fischer, TX, 78623. Departure: Sunday, April 13th, 11am. We are only doing a 1-night stay for this year, but we have a full day of fun activities planned for the group! FCC has booked 2 duplex units (Side A and side B), as well as the Oak Commons facility for our gatherings. Cost is going to be $145 per family/party for an overnight stay, and $20 for a daypass (which includes lunch, dinner & smores!). Roller Skating Party, Friday, June 27th at Pins and Wheels Playland. Join us at 7 pm for some roller skating fun! There’s also arcade games, bowling, and snack and drink options available. Admission is $16 for skates, and $20 for blades. We hope to see you there! Summer Pool Party Join FCC for a summer pool party at Shipe Park from 4–6 pm on July 19th! Admission is free and food options are available after, so come on out! Game Night Sunday, August 3rd, 5–8 pm at Tom Hurt’s architecture office (409 W 14th St., Austin, TX 78701)! Feel free to bring board games, card games, or any other activities to share with the group, and don’t forget to bring $5 for pizza! We’ll also have other snacks and drinks, so come on out and celebrate the last couple weeks of summer with us! FCC’s annual Mid-Autumn Festival is on Sunday, October 5th from 1–3 pm on the patio of the Central Market on North Lamar. Join us for mooncakes, henna tattoos, live entertainment and lion dancing! We will also be raffling off a special Central Market gift basket with snacks and treats inside. Raffle tickets are 1 for $3, or 2 for $5.
